Genuine traveler feedback from real experiences in Mongolia

12 days that felt like a proper expedition
★★★★★• Jun 2026

This is the tour to take if you really want to see central Mongolia properly. Khustai’s wild horses, the Orkhon waterfall roaring into its canyon, and riding up to Tövkhön Monastery were all trip highlights on their own — together they made for an incredible two weeks.

Tövkhön Monastery horseback ride was unforgettable
★★★★★• Jul 2026

The 2-3 hour ride up to the monastery was genuinely one of the best things I’ve done while traveling. Our guide made sure everyone felt comfortable on horseback regardless of experience, and the hot springs afterward were the perfect reward.

Two full days at Terkhiin Tsagaan Lake was the right call
★★★★★• Aug 2026

I worried 12 days might feel long, but the extra day at the lake living alongside a nomadic family was one of the most meaningful parts of the trip. Milking animals and helping with daily chores gave a much deeper sense of the lifestyle than a quick visit would have.

Excellent value for such a comprehensive itinerary
★★★★★• Sep 2026

Between Erdene Zuu, Ugii Lake, Khustai’s wild horses and the folk concert finale, this tour genuinely covers all of central Mongolia’s highlights without feeling rushed. Ger camps were comfortable and our driver was excellent on some pretty rough roads.
