Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 Ulaanbaatar Arrival
Welcome to Mongolia! Your journey begins at Chinggis Khaan International Airport, where your local guide and driver will meet you and transfer you to your hotel in Ulaanbaatar. Depending on arrival time, enjoy free time to rest or explore the city before a welcome dinner at a local restaurant — your first taste of authentic Mongolian cuisine. Meals: D
Day 2 Terelj National Park
Visit the Chinggis Khan Museum, then continue to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, famous for its granite formations. Stop at Turtle Rock and enjoy horseback riding through the valley, then hike to Aryabal Meditation Temple for panoramic mountain views. In the afternoon, attend a traditional nomadic cultural presentation, learn about ger life and dairy production, and meet local eagle hunters before checking into camp. Meals: B, L, D
Day 3 Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Lake
Drive to the stunning Khar Zurkhnii Khukh Lake (Blue Lake), deeply tied to the early life of Temujin — the place where his eight horses were stolen, leading him to meet his future ally Boorchi. Along the way, stop at Tsonjin Boldog to see the world’s largest equestrian statue of Chinggis Khan, then enjoy a traditional lunch in Baga Nuur village. Arrive at the lake by late afternoon for free time amid forested mountains before dinner and overnight at the tourist camp. Meals: B, L, D
Day 4 Binder Village
Travel through the historically significant Khorhkhonug Jibur Valley, where Temujin and his childhood friend Jamukha lived for nearly a year after rescuing Temujin’s wife Borte — and where Zuchi, his eldest son, was born. In the afternoon, visit Rashaan Khad, an archaeological site with rock carvings spanning the Stone Age to the Mongol Empire, then continue to Oglogchiin Wall, a Khitan-era royal cemetery. Arrive in Binder village by evening for dinner and overnight at camp. Meals: B, L, D
Day 5 Dadal Village
Head to Dadal village, widely recognized as the birthplace of Genghis Khan, stopping at the scenic Pine Forest Corridor and dramatic Yargui Cliff along the way. Visit the Hunnu Tomb at Duurlig Nars and the Mongol Queens’ Palace Complex before arriving at Deluun Boldog — believed to be Temujin’s birthplace in 1162 and one of Mongolia’s most significant historical landmarks. See the Genghis Khan Light Statue and the “Three Lakes” area before settling into camp for the evening. Meals: B, L, D
Day 6 Chinggis City
Depart for Chinggis City, the capital of Khentii Province, stopping at the Shikhikhutag Complex in Norovlin soum — a site linked to Mongolian nobility. After lunch in Batnorov soum, visit the Friendship Monument, marking where young Temujin first met his future general Boorchi while searching for his stolen horses. Arrive in Chinggis City by mid-afternoon to explore the Khentii Province Museum before checking into your hotel for dinner and rest. Meals: B, L, D
Day 7 Return to Ulaanbaatar
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar, arriving in the afternoon with free time to shop for souvenirs and local cashmere products. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Mongolian folk concert featuring authentic music and cultural performances, followed by a farewell dinner to celebrate your journey. Meals: B, L, D
Day 8 Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Your guide and driver will transfer you to Chinggis Khaan International Airport for your departure flight, bringing your unforgettable journey through the heartland of the Great Khan to a close. Meals: B
