Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 Ulaanbaatar Arrival
Welcome to Mongolia! Your journey kicks off at Chinggis Khaan International Airport. Once you’ve cleared immigration and grabbed your bags, look for your friendly local guide and driver waiting in the arrivals hall. They’ll transfer you smoothly to your hotel in the heart of Ulaanbaatar. Depending on your arrival time, you may have free time to rest or explore the city. In the evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at a local restaurant — your official introduction to authentic Mongolian cuisine. Meals: D
Day 2 Terelj National Park
After breakfast, drive to the Chinggis Khan Equestrian Statue at Tsonjin Boldog — the tallest equestrian statue in the world. Continue to Gorkhi-Terelj National Park, visit Turtle Rock, then take a horseback ride to Aryabal Meditation Temple. In the afternoon, attend a Mongolian nomadic cultural presentation and meet eagle hunters. Meals: B, L, D
Day 3 Elsen Tasarkhai (Mini Gobi)
After an early breakfast, drive to Elsen Tasarkhai — the “Mini Gobi” — where golden sand dunes blend with green grasslands. Enjoy a camel ride on a two-humped Bactrian camel across the rolling dunes. Day 4 Orkhon Waterfall
Travel to the breathtaking Orkhon Waterfall (Ulaan Tsutgalan) in the heart of the legendary Orkhon Valley — a UNESCO-recognized cultural landscape that has been the cradle of nomadic civilization for over 5,000 years. Walk along the riverbanks, photograph the dramatic canyon waterfall, and soak in the timeless steppe atmosphere. Overnight at a tourist camp. Meals: B, L, D
Day 5 Tuvkhun Monastery & Hot Springs
Begin with a 2–3 hour horseback ride to Tuvkhun Monastery, a hidden spiritual sanctuary nestled deep in the forest atop a mountain. After exploring this mystical monastery, descend and continue to Jaran Tsagaan Hot Springs to relax and soothe your muscles. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at Jaran Tsagaan Resort. Meals: B, L, D
Day 6 Ugii Lake & Kharkhorin
Travel to Kharkhorin — the ancient 13th-century capital of the Mongol Empire on the Silk Road. Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery, Mongolia’s oldest surviving Buddhist monastery, surrounded by a wall lined with 108 stupas. Then continue to the peaceful Ugii Lake, known for its rich birdlife and unforgettable sunsets. Overnight at a nearby tourist camp. Meals: B, L, D
Day 7 Return to Ulaanbaatar & City Tour
Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. In the afternoon, enjoy free time to shop for souvenirs and explore local cashmere products. In the evening, attend a traditional Mongolian folk concert featuring authentic music and cultural performances, followed by a farewell dinner. Meals: B, L, D
Day 8 Departure
After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Your guide and driver will transfer you to Chinggis Khaan International Airport for your departure flight. Your unforgettable journey through Mongolia’s diverse landscapes, rich history, and nomadic culture comes to an end. Meals: B
